Jack Segro, senior board member of the Lancaster County Sports Hall of Fame Night threw a first pitch during Hall of Fame Night at the Lancaster Barnstormers.

The organization also used the night to recognize this year's award winners as the Barnstormers posted photos of the honorees on the right-field scoreboard throughout most of the game. 

The Hall of Fame will formally recognize its 2022 inductees and other award winners at its banquet Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Eden Resort. 

J. Freeland Chryst Award winners are Olympian Kimberly Glass from Conestoga Valley, Hempfield coaches Mike Vogel and Warren Goodling, and wrestler and athletic administrator Andy Noel from Lancaster Catholic.

McCaskey grad Pat Hofmann Meiser, a trailblazer in women's collegiate athletics, is the George W. Kirchner Award recipient. Other honorees are photographer Bob Diller, volunteer of the year; Rylee and Jackson Diffenderfer, of Warwick, LNP | LancasterOnline inspirational athlete of the year, and LNP | LancasterOnline Athletes of the Year Braetan Peters of Annville-Cleona and Ryan Brubaker of Cocalico.

Powered by home runs, the Barnstormers built a first-inning lead and never looked back in beating the York Revolution 8-2 while tuning for the Atlantic League playoffs.
