Zach Zuber, occasionally called “ZZ Top” or “Snooze”, will be a four-year starting pitcher for Lancaster Catholic. When not pitching, Zach plays centerfield, shortstop and second base. He plans to be the ace of the pitching staff and lead LCHS in excelling this year.

Catholic traditionally has good baseball, however this year the team plans to bounce back from a 9-10 record and compete to win Section 4 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

A key addition to the Crusaders is a transfer player from Wyomissing, Parker LaFerriere. Parker is a big bat in the lineup as is returning third baseman Ty George, a key hitter and excellent fielder. Zach or Gabe Garcia will lead off with the other batting in the second hole.

Northern Lebanon (a two-year section champ) and Columbia are key teams on the Crusaders’ schedule.

At LCHS, Zach’s favorite subjects are History and Philosophy with emphasis on “Logic and Argument.” He serves as vice president of the National Honor Society and has been inducted into the National Latin Honor Society.

Zach plans to play college baseball at Mercyhurst University and study Political Science and Pre-Law.
