Kyle Brown, McCaskey Junior and small forward, eagerly is looking forward to McCaskey’s first game versus Penn Wood.  He says his team has been working hard in the off-season and plans to get to the playoffs.

McCaskey’s faces some key games — especially Reading, a physically tough team; Cedar Crest, loaded with height; and rival Manheim Township, with good shooters.

Kyle‘s best skills are “3 and D,” the “catch and shoot” 3-point shot, and playing solid defense. And he plans to be a team leader.

This past summer, new head coach Dustin Salisbery, had his players working out by lifting weights first and then practicing basketball in the gym. Salisbery says this format prepares players for playing with fatigue.

Kyle additionally plays volleyball for McCaskey and may try out for football as a wideout next year.

In the future Kyle plans to attend college to study psychology and play basketball.
