Geno Falduts competes as a junior on the Conestoga Valley swim team. His specialties are the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley. He swims 5 days a week for CV and one day at the Reading YMCA, where he encounters competition and friendships.
According to Geno, CV has a small team in members this year; however, with some promising freshmen swimmers, the outlook for the future is bright.
This year Gino considers Ephrata’s boys & girls teams to be very good, and he looks for CV to be competitive with them in the relays.
Geno gives special credit to his parents and grandfather for inspiring him in education and life experiences. Both of his parents are teachers and are models for importance of education. His grandfather provides him with outdoor experiences like hunting and 4-wheeler trails.
In extracurricular school activities, Geno competes on the CV volleyball team, belongs to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is president of the LEO’s Club (a junior organization of the Lion’s Club) and enjoys the “fun time” pickleball competition with his fellow swimming and volleyball teammates.
During school, Geno loves his science classes, especially the Honors Scientific Research class where he is researching “Senses and Perception of Time” for a science fair project.
Geno plans to study biology, possibly at Loyola University or Towson University.
