Seth Musselman returns as a three-way player for Garden Spot High School. He rarely comes off the game field as a running back, safety and punt returner.
He sees the Spartans as a youthful football team in the 2026 campaign with about 10 experienced seniors combining with 20 juniors.
Garden Spot has had a successful offseason training program, both in the weight room and with special skill sessions for the different positions.
In Lancaster-Lebanon League Section Three, Twin Valley seems the preseason favorite, though Warwick is the toughest team Garden Spot faces year after year, according to Musselman. As for a rival team, Ephrata will be key game. Yet, watch for Garden Spot to make a run for the Section Three championship and a District Three playoff game.
Musselman hopes to repeat his junior year success and be named to the Section Three All-Section Team as a safety.
Basketball and track & field are other sports Musselman competes in each academic year. And he may double up this spring with track and lacrosse.
In his senior year at Garden Spot, Musselman is interning with the Ephrata Police Department and plans to attend the Pennsylvania State Police Academy when he turns 21 years old.
