Kyle Knutsen, a 5-foot-10 senior guard, is optimistic about this season for the Comets. Coming off a 6-4 Section One record, 13-11 overall, Penn Manor returns a veteran core with some youngsters coming up.

“We want to win the Section, win the league and win at least one game in districts and get to states,” said Knutsen, who averaged 5.2 points per game last season with a game-high of 14 points in a win over Lebanon.

Knutsen said he mostly came off the bench last year and he said his personal goal this year is “winning.”

While he doesn’t participate in other school sports, he likes to snowboard, hike, travel to the beach or cabin and has already started some financial personal investing accounts.

Next year, he is leaning on attending Messiah to study finance. But, first, he hopes the Comets can cash their experience in for a run at the section title and more. Who does he feel is the team to beat?

“Every single team has a shot,” he said.
