Lampeter-Strasburg completed a 14-1 season last year, losing only in the state championship game to Bonner-Prendergast 40-14.  But it was a banner season for Coach Victor Ridenour's team. The District 3 champions will need to replace a number of starters but return key players this year.

Tight end Keegan Curtis (top right in photo) and fullback Mitchell Swarr (bottom right) will lead the offense.

Curtis says, "We have all the athletes and mindset from last year. The senior class is looking to lead the team and prove ourselves again."

Kicker Peter Fiorelli kicked a game winning field goal to help the Pioneers beat Wyomissing in overtime to capture the District 3 Class 4A Championship. He'll spearhead a strong kicking game and says, "The team is close, has been working out and ready for another big run."

Swarr says the players have been keeping cool in the summer heat with some ice cream, including Nutella Crunch at Rolled Cold Creamery. He says, "It will take a lot of hard work, but the team is ready to go."

Offensive tackle Colin Shelley (left) also attended media day.

LNP | LancasterOnline hosted Football Media Day at its downtown Lancaster office to connect local media with Lancaster-Lebanon League football players and coaches.
