Custer was a three-sport standout for Cocalico, starring in lacrosse, basketball and field hockey for the Eagles. Custer was a four-year starter and captain in all three sports, but she was at her absolute best as a midfielder in lacrosse

As a senior, Custer was the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s leading goal scorer with a school-record 138 goals leading the Eagles to the Lancaster-Lebanon League finals. She scored 10 goals in one game.

Her play earned her the honors of All L-L League, L-L League Top-Midfielder MVP and Central Pennsylvania All-American honors.

It also earned her a Division I scholarship to the University of Richmond, where she is currently a freshman midfielder for the Spiders.

In basketball last season, Custer averaged 16.8 points per game and was named the L-L League Section 3 MVP. She led the Eagles to the league semifinals and district quarterfinals. She finished her career with 955 points.

In field hockey, she scored five goals and added assists to pick up second-team league all-star honors.

Also talented in the classroom, Custer capped a distinguished senior year being presented the female winner of the A. Landis Brackbill Scholar-Athlete Award. Qualifications for this award include the words “exceptional student athletes within the greater community (L-L League). To be eligible the recipients must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and participate in two or more varsity sports during their senior year."
