Tom Gilburg was a member of the 1964 Baltimore Colts, who lost the NFL Championship game 27-0 to the Cleveland Browns.This was the last time the Browns won a championship.
Gilburg, who received the J. Freeland Chryst Award in 2015, coached Franklin & Marshall's football team for 28 seasons from 1975 to 2002. His teams compiled a record of 160-111-2 and won 10 conference championships, five in the Middle Atlantic Conference and five in the Centennial Conference. During his career, he coached eight first team All-Americans and 11 conference MVPs.
